South Korean people are strongly asserting that THAAD cannot be deployed in any place of south Korea, noting that THAAD deployment in south Korea will bring a nuclear war to the Korean peninsula, the article said.

Shortly ago, inhabitants in Songju County and Kimchon City of North Kyongsang Province of south Korea held a joint rally protesting against the U.S. THAAD deployment, it noted.

During the rally the participants thrust a written protest carrying the stand that they oppose THAAD deployment in any place of south Korea to the U.S. embassy, it pointed out.

At the rally a representative called upon inhabitants in Songju and Kimchon to block THAAD deployment in solidarity, saying that THAAD is, in fact, a weapon in the interests of the U.S. administration and the U.S., it noted, and went on:

The Action for Checking THAAD Deployment in south Korea held a press conference outside the puppet National Assembly at which it accused the NA of turning down the opinions opposing THAAD deployment. It said the authorities are insisting that THAAD is aimed to prevent the "north's nuclear and missile threat" but it has already been exposed through the reports of the U.S. Defense Department and Congress that THAAD is ineffective in light of the topography of the Korean peninsula.

The struggle against THAAD deployment is precisely the struggle against war and the one for getting the U.S. forces withdrawn from south Korea.
