Minju Joson Blasts U.S. Modernization of Offensive Weapons
Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) -- Minju Joson Tuesday in a commentary blasts the U.S. for going reckless in the modernization of offensive weapons these days.

It goes on:

The U.S. is busy conducting the flight test of ballistic missile and assessing the combined operation capability of fighter and Aegis weapon system. This is no more than last-ditch efforts of the U.S. administration to shore up its policy of confrontation of strength put on the verge of bankruptcy while seeking military supremacy come what may.

The U.S. has spent a stupendous amount of money for modernizing military hardware, claiming that it should remain strong to dominate the world and its muscle should be guaranteed by military means.

Though the U.S. is in the grip of the serious financial crisis, it shaped the world's biggest military budget and has spared no funds and efforts for developing latest military hardware.

But the U.S. scenario to have a monopoly on the military field proves no longer workable.

Many countries have opted for bolstering up their military muscle as a reaction to the U.S. policy of military supremacy for aggression and achieved noticeable successes in this field.

A special mention should be made of the DPRK. It has reached a high level in the work for mounting nuclear warheads on ballistic rockets and emerged a full-fledged nuclear power capable of threatening the U.S.

Under this situation the U.S. should have sought a realistic and new way out, admitting its policy failure. However, it is still sticking to its trite policy of confrontation of strength, not awakened from the dream of dominating the world with strength.

This is the tragedy of the U.S.

The U.S. would be well advised to go off its wrong road as quickly as possible, well aware of what is the root cause of its decline and ruin.
