S. Korean Trade Unions Launch General Strikes in Succession
Pyongyang, September 28 (KCNA) -- South Korean workers went on general strikes in succession in protest against the puppet authorities' unpopular policy of mercilessly trampling down the vital rights of the workers.

The south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions and the Federation of Trade Unions of south Korea declared a general strike with public and financial trade unions as its pivot on Sept. 21.

On Sept. 23 the financial trade union launched a general strike after holding a rally with the attendance of more than 50,000 workers and the next day the freight workers' solidarity went on a general strike in protest against the authorities' anti-worker policy of meeting only the interests of big businesses.

On September 26 the trade union of Hyundai Motors went on a general strike in protest against the management's unjust attitude towards the wage negotiations.

The trade union of the hospital of Seoul National University also launched a strike.
