S. Korean People Demand Punishment of Arch Criminal Who Caused Paek Nam Gi's Death

Pyongyang, September 29 (KCNA) -- The bereaved family of peasant Paek Nam Gi and the measure committee, religionists and bereaved families of victims of the ferry Sewol disaster held a press conference in front of the hospital of Seoul National University where Paek Nam Gi's body is placed on September 26 at which they declared an action for punishing the arch criminal who caused his death, according to the south Korean newspaper Korea Economic Daily.

Speakers said the "government" did not make any apology for the death of Paek Nam Gi though he died due to police violence. They declared an action for probing truth behind the case and punishing the arch criminal.

They called upon south Koreans from all walks of life to set up incense-burning altars in all parts of south Korea and launch memorial candlelight rally, probe the truth behind the case, punish the arch criminal and take measures to prevent the recurrence of similar murder.
