It was attended by officials of the Central Committee of the Federation for the Care of the Elderly of Korea and relevant units, meritorious persons in Pyongyang and members of foreign embassies, the United Nations Population Fund, WHO and the European Union Programme Support here.

Speeches were made under the titles of "On immortal feats performed by the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu in the history for the care of the elderly in our country", "World population aging situation and vista" and "It is noble sense of obligation of the generations to come to put forward and respect the elderly".

The seminar informed the participants of the life of the elderly of the DPRK and the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea for the care of the elderly and successes and experience achieved in the work to carry out the policy and the future activities.

The participants watched an art performance given by members of the Culture and Art Association for the Elderly of Korea and watched elderly persons drawing.
