DPRK's Holidays Marked in Ethiopia

| Pyongyang, October 4 (KCNA) -- Seminars were held by ten branch groups under the Addis Ababa Youth Association of Ethiopia on Sept. 28 and 29 to mark the 19th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's election as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), the 71st founding anniversary of the WPK and the 90th anniversary of the formation of the Down-with-Imperialism Union. Speakers said that HE Kim Jong Il's election as general secretary of the WPK 19 years ago served as a historic event of great significance in strengthening it and accomplishing the cause of global independence. They stressed that the WPK has faithfully served the people, being responsible for their destiny over seven decades since its founding. |
