Attending the rally were 5,000 people from all walks of life including members of the Consultative Council of Families of Victims for Probing Truth about April 16 Ferry Sewol Disaster, the April 16 Solidarity and other bereaved families.

Speakers at the rally said that the present "government" persistently hindered the work of the Ad Hoc Committee for Probing the Truth behind the Ferry Sewol Disaster and finally forcefully disbanded it.

History always stands by the people who defend dignity of human being and it is the truth that the power swimming against history is bound to be brought down, they said, expressing the will to work hard to open the way of truth in the future, too.
