Power Supply System in Disaster Areas Restored
Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- The power supply system has been restored in the main in flood-hit North Hamgyong Province of the DPRK.

Damaged transformer substations and transmission lines were all repaired in sections of more than 260 kilometers. Mast restoration makes headway at 95 percent and a project for distribution line is now at the final stage.

The power rehabilitation project needed tens of tons of steel and electric wire, insulators, disconnecting switches and transformers, removal of earth of 8,000 cubic meters and production of thousands of masts.

Transformer substations in Musan and Yonsa counties, Hoeryong City and other disaster areas were restored until September 27 to put the transmission system in the province on a normal operation.
