More Consumer Goods Sent to Disaster Areas of DPRK

Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- A campaign for supplying more consumer goods to flood-hit North Hamgyong Province is getting more brisk at various industrial establishments of the DPRK. The February 8 Vinalon Complex raised the output of chemical goods by succeeding in the production of quality acetic acid with domestic materials and repairing the cooler on its own efforts. The Pyongyang Cornstarch Factory under the Pyongyang Foodstuff Complex additionally turned out tens of tons of sweets and cakes for the inhabitants in the disaster areas in a short span of time. The Hamhung Knitwear Factory has carried out its daily production plan at 115 percent and the Pyongyang Hosiery Factory produced hundreds of thousands of stockings and socks in a few days. Meanwhile, utensils, footwear and other consumer goods have been mass-produced at light industrial factories across the country for the smooth recovery efforts in the disaster areas. |
