Pak Hak Chol, faculty head of Kim Il Sung University, and seven others were awarded the title of candidate academician.

Professorship went to Ju Su In, teacher at Pyongyang University of Architecture, and 18 others.

Doctorate was conferred on Choe Chang Su, department director of the University of National Economy, Yom Tae Son, department head of Kim Chaek University of Technology, Han Jong Chol, department head of Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering, and others and titles of associate professor on 126 persons and master's degrees on 807 persons.

An awarding ceremony took place at the People's Palace of Culture on Wednesday.
