Pyongyang, October 6 (KCNA) -- The Nigerian National Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism posted an article titled "Invariable banner of Korea's reunification movement" on its website on September 27. The article said: The north-south summit took place in Pyongyang in June 2000 for the first time in the history of the division of the Korean nation and the June 15 joint declaration was adopted. It was a noteworthy event which brought a radical turn in the movement for Korea's reunification. The June 15 joint declaration is the foundation for improvement of inter-Korean relations and great programme for Korea's reunification as it clarifies the ideological foundation, basic principle and practical way for national reconciliation, unity and reunification. The October 4 declaration, a programme for implementing the June 15 joint declaration, was adopted in 2007, opening up the rosier prospect for the reunification movement of the Korean nation. However, the Park Geun Hye regime of south Korea took the lead in the international sanctions racket following the U.S., which pulled up the DPRK over its satellite launch for peaceful purpose, and totally shut down the Kaesong Industrial Zone that had barely been operated, thus driving the inter-Korean relations to a total stalemate. Now the Korean nation is staging the nationwide struggle to open an era of peace, reunification and prosperity by implementing the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration. International community sincerely hopes that the Korean nation will reunify the country as early as possible under the banner of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration and consolidate peace and stability on the Korean peninsula. |
