Workers' Sit-in Strike Escalates in S. Korea

| Pyongyang, October 6 (KCNA) -- More than 30 000 workers in the public sector of south Korea held a rally in Seoul on October 4 at a time when the general strike of workers in protest against the authorities' unpopular policy is gaining in scope and strength, according to the south Korean internet paper Chamsesang. Speakers at the rally said the workers in the public sector are bravely implementing their action plan, calling for totally nullifying the introduction of the system for paying wages according to piece rate as early as possible. |
