The statement warmly supported the appeal to all Koreans sent by the participants in a cycling journey for reunification of the Chinese regional preparatory committee for the joint meeting of the political parties, organizations and individual personages in the north, the south and abroad for peace and independent reunification of the Korean peninsula.

It said: In order to pave a wide avenue to independent reunification, the U.S. and the south Korean authorities should stop at once all drills for preemptive nuclear attack which may ignite a war obstructing the national reconciliation and unity.
