Pyongyang, October 8 (KCNA) -- Vlad News of Russia posted a special write-up dealing with the revolutionary anecdotes of leader Kim Jong Il on Oct. 3. The news carried the photos dealing with his visit to Russia. It said: In July 2008, the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il appreciated a performance given by the State Academy Beryozka Dancing Troupe of Russia Named after N.S. Nadezhdina on a visit to the DPRK. Koltsova, head of the troupe, was a famous actress at home and abroad during the period of the Soviet Union. She was a female lead in feature film "Spring of a Girl" but slipped from the people's memory along with the collapse of the Soviet Union. At that time she visited the DPRK with her troupe at Comrade Kim Jong Il's invitation. He met the leading members and dancers of the troupe and made sure that a feature film in which she acted be televised. The news carried a report that in July 1998 he met Yazov, former minister of Defence of the Soviet Union who was called a "military encyclopedia", during his visit to the DPRK. He talked with Yazov about the military field for a long time. Yazov was admired by Comrade Kim Jong Il's profound knowledge of the military affairs. He had perfect knowledge about the three services, not just one individual service and arms, and about ultramodern military science and technology and hardware. He was also well versed in all fields of the military affairs ranging from strategies and tactics of modern warfare to specific combating methods. Yazov was completely charmed by Comrade Kim Jong Il's military wisdom and talent. |
