The letter said:

We proposed the Pyongyang-Panmunjom cycling journey for reunification to call upon all Koreans at home and abroad to turn out as one in the movement to terminate the more than seven decades-long tragedy of the division at an early date by the their concerted efforts in hearty response to the urgent call of you the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

We held a kick-off ceremony before the Monument to the Three Charters for National Reunification and arrived at Panmunjom, symbol of division. We came to realize once again that the country's reunification is the supreme national task which the Koreans cannot sidestep irrespective of where they live on this earth and that they are responsible for reunifying the country.

Standing before the monument to President Kim Il Sung's autograph for reunification at Panmunjom, we more deeply grasped the immortal feats the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il performed by devoting their whole lives to the country's reunification and their earnest last instructions for reunification.

Brief as our stay in the homeland was, we came to have firm conviction that the future of the 80 million Koreans is bright and rosy as they are holding in high esteem the father who loved the country and its people most in the world while witnessing the stirring reality in which our compatriots are building a powerful socialist country, holding aloft the banner of self-reliance and self-development under your outstanding leadership.

The letter said that through the journey its participants renewed their strong pledge to build the most powerful reunified country on this land without fail by achieving the great unity of the nation under the uplifted banner of independence true to the intention of Kim Jong Un.
