Through their protracted struggle and life, the Korean people came to have immovable faith that the greatness of the WPK is that of leader and that there is no future for them without leader always. And they have always shared their lot with the Party in the grim annals of the revolution.

During the 1950-1953 Fatherland Liberation War, workers of the Rakwon Machine Complex told President Kim Il Sung caring much for their livelihood that there would no question for them to rehabilitate and they would be well-off after victory in the war.

In the difficult postwar period, the workers at the then Kangson Steel Plant turned out 120,000 tons of steel at the blooming mill with a capacity of 60,000 tons, in hearty response to the call of the President that it would be good for the country if it has 10,000 tons of rolled steel in addition.

In the late 1990s when the country had to make arduous march, the forced march, all the people turned out to defend socialism under the Songun (military-first) politics shaped by leader Kim Jong Il, with the firm conviction that they would surely emerge victorious as they are guided by the WPK.

The song "We'll Travel One Road Forever" ardently sung by the Korean people represents their indomitable will to follow supreme leader Kim Jong Un only under any storm and stress.

Thanks to the heroic people, the WPK could turn the country into a socialist power independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence and open a new era of building a powerful socialist nation despite the persistent blockades by the imperialists.
