Building Materials Production Increases in DPRK

Pyongyang, October 11 (KCNA) -- Industrial establishments in the DPRK launched a campaign for boosting the production of building materials to be sent to the flood-hit northern part of the country.

The Sangwon Cement Complex sent at least 110 000 tons of cement to the disaster areas and the Sunchon Cement Complex carried out its production assignment at 76 percent on October 8.

The Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex, the Chollima Steel Complex and the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex produced a great deal of bar steels and square bars in a short span of time.

Meanwhile, the production of such building materials as doors and windows was finished in the main.
