10,000 Tons of Cement Transported to Disaster Areas Every Day

| Pyongyang, October 11 (KCNA) -- The Chongjin Port and the Chongjin Railway Bureau of the DPRK have transported more than 10,000 tons of cement to the flood-hit North Hamgyong Province every day by raising their cargo and freight traffics 3-4 times. The Chongjin Port boosted its discharging capacity through a work to raise the bucket capacity of wharf cranes more than 2.5 times and set up open storage grounds. The Chongjin Railway Bureau conducted a work for hardening the railroad bed and renewing railroad ties to raise the strength of northern railways. |
