The work, made public on Oct. 20, Juche 55 (1966), indicates the main orientation and general goal in developing the socialist public healthcare and the essence and requirements of the preventive medicine of socialism and its tasks and ways.

The seminar was attended by officials concerned and healthcare workers in the city.

Kim Hyong Hun, chairman of the Central Committee of the Medical Association of Korea, in an opening address said that the famous work is the immortal classic document giving comprehensive answers to the theoretical and practical questions concerning the socialist medicine, the preventive medicine, and highly important guidelines indicating the road for bringing about a great revolutionary turn in the public healthcare.

He called upon all healthcare workers to bear in mind the idea of the work and the spirit of the devoted service for the people and make leading forward in developing the preventive medicine and thus contribute to displaying the advantages of the socialist healthcare system.

Read out there were papers reflecting the research successes and experience gained in improving the quality of the medical service and rapidly developing the medical science and technology as required by the developing modern medical science in response to the Party's policy of the preventive medicine.
