The county has necessary conditions for developing sports. A sports village in the area of Mt. Paektu was renovated last year, and now going at the final stage is the construction of 2 000-seat stadium which is able to host football, volleyball, basketball and track-and-field events at one time.

A lot of sports facilities have taken their shapes at institutions, factories, farms and schools in a few years to fan up the inhabitants' enthusiasm for sports.

Meanwhile, the County Physical Culture and Sports Guidance Commission has organized sports contests among institutions, industrial establishments and farms every year.

Such mass sports activities help the people work greater feats in performing their duty.
