Assistance to Disaster Areas in DPRK

| Pyongyang, October 13 (KCNA) -- The Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the DPRK has taken the lead in rendering material assistance to the flood-hit areas of the country. Up to now, it sent a large amount of food, 10 400 consumer goods and 54 300 pieces of daily necessaries of 10-odd kinds to the disaster areas. At present, the ministry is concentrating its efforts on the provision of sports apparatuses to the Yonsa County Juvenile Sports School and other sports schools in the disaster areas of North Hamgyong Province. Various units under the ministry, too, have offered sincere material assistance to the disaster areas. |
