Present at the event were the general secretary and members of the organization, the DPRK ambassador to Cuba and staff members of his embassy.

The participants laid a floral basket before the portrait of smiling President Kim Il Sung and paid tribute to him.

The general secretary said the WPK has covered the course of victory and glory for a long period with the Juche idea as its guiding idea under the wise leadership of Kim Il Sung. He went on:

Comrade Kim Il Sung is, indeed, the prominent leader with foresightedness.

The WPK has turned into the powerful party deeply rooted among the popular masses thanks to the great leaders.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is successfully carrying forward the cause of the preceding leaders leads the Korean people to make a series of eye-opening successes in all fields despite the hostile forces' moves to isolate and stifle the DPRK.

The Korean people will achieve greater successes in the building of a socialist power under the wise leadership of the WPK.
