S. Korean Fascist Police Suppress Workers' Struggle
|
|
Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- The south Korean puppet authorities hurled the fascist police into the scenes of workers' actions for defending their vital rights to mercilessly suppress them, according to reports. When more than 14,000 trade union members of the Freight Workers' Solidarity launched full-scale strike in protest against evil labor policy on October 10, the fascist police mobilized thousands of repressive forces including mobile detective corps to crack down on their struggle. The police took away three unionists and trampled down one person so mercilessly that he was carried to a hospital. In the evening the police walked off five unionists. For three days the police took away 50 unionists and some others were wounded. Members of the Confederation of Trade Unions, the Public Transport Trade Unions, the Freight Workers' Solidarity and the Bar Association for Democratic Society and opposition party members held a press conference at the "National Assembly" on October 12 to bitterly denounce the authorities' suppression. Speakers there demanded the "government" stop the suppression and give up politics of misunderstanding. |
