Expressing profound condolences and sympathy to the bereaved family and the government and people of Thailand, the message said that the demise of the king is a great loss to the government and people of Thailand.

It noted that though the king passed away, the exploits he performed for the development and prosperity of the country will always be remembered by the people of Thailand.

DPRK Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho also sent a similar message to his Thai counterpart Don Pramudwinai on the same day.
