In the contest divided into five teams, competitions were made in such events as volleyball, basketball and football.

The volleyball and basketball titles were taken by the Mongolian embassy team.

Present to watch the final football match on Sunday were Kung Sok Ung, former vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, and other honorary guests, officials concerned, representatives of foreign embassies and international bodies to the DPRK, family members of embassy officials and sports fans.

In the football match, the Russian embassy team beat the team comprising of embassies of Asian, African and Latin American countries.

Then followed diverse amusement games, divided into Hong (red) and Chong (blue) teams.

Prizes were awarded to the successful teams and individuals.

There was also a show of national dishes prepared by families of foreign diplomats.

The sports contest marked an important occasion in further deepening friendship.
