The President formed the DIU, the new-type vanguard organization, on October 17, Juche 15 (1926) with the grandiose plan to carve out a new road of the Korean revolution.

Attending the meeting were Kim Yong Nam, Hwang Pyong So, Choe Ryong Hae and other senior party, state and army officials, the chairperson of a friendly party, members of the party central leadership organ in Pyongyang, officials of the party, armed forces and power bodies, public organizations, ministries and national institutions, officials of institutions, factories and enterprises, labor innovators and bereaved families of the revolutionary martyrs here.

Kim Ki Nam, member of the Political Bureau and vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, in his report said that the formation of the DIU was a historic declaration that meant the solemn start of the revolutionary cause of Juche and an event which brought the fundamental turn in carving out the nation's destiny.

With the formation of the DIU, the Korean people's revolutionary struggle greeted a new era of history as it became possible to victoriously advance despite all old trend of thought including flunkeyism and dogmatism, by relying on the strength of the nation itself guided by the most correct revolutionary line and strategic and tactics, he said, adding:

The Korean revolution originated from the DIU has firmly preserved the bloodline of Juche and advanced along the road of victory despite difficult hardships under the outstanding and tested leadership of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.

The President acquired a deep insight into the aspiration in the era of independence, founded the immortal Juche idea, brightly indicated the road of the revolution and led to a steady surge the overall Korean revolution centered on the armed struggle under the banner of Juche and thus, successfully realizing the historic cause of Korea's liberation.

Kim Jong Il put forward the tradition of the DIU as the lifeline of the Party and the revolution and carried out the overall work the way the President did, based on his idea and line.

For the first time in history Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il set forth the revolutionary line of independence that independence is the life and soul of the country and the nation and the revolution of one's own country should be made with one's own efforts and the strategic slogan on living our own way, and thoroughly embodied them in the whole course of the revolutionary leadership.

The transparent faith and pluck of independence kept by the great leaders serve as the soul of the nation and treasured sword that help carve out the destiny. This enabled the Korean people to produce the proud history of victory and prosperity by their own efforts their own way, while constantly establishing the independent stand despite such grime hardships as arduous march and world political upheaval.

The party building and revolutionary cause of Juche started from the DIU has now greeted the era of the great inheritance and turn under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Victory and glory are always in store for the service personnel and people of the DPRK successfully carrying forward the tradition and cause of the DIU under the ever-victorious leadership of the great Party, the reporter said, calling upon all Koreans to carry on a dynamic struggle to successfully accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche started from the DIU, rallied close around Kim Jong Un.
