Japanese Authorities Denounced for Not Feeling Guilty of Sexual Slavery
Pyongyang, October 17 (KCNA) -- There is a flurry of widespread protest of the international community demanding the apology and reparation for the sexual slavery committed by the Japanese imperialists in the past and also strong call even inside Japan demanding forwarding a letter of apology in the name of the prime minister to the victims.

Commenting on this, Japanese Prime Minister Abe noted that "no consideration is given" and "he has no intent to do so" at the Budget Committee of the House of Representatives in reference to the Japan-south Korea "agreement" adopted in December last year.

Minju Joson Monday in a commentary says that this proves once again before the world that the Japanese government authorities do not feel guilty at all of the past sexual slavery though it is branded as a hideous crime against humanity worldwide.

As for the issue of the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army, it was a serious human rights abuse because Japan trampled down in a massive and organized manner the chastity and dignity of tender women in Korea and in several other Asian countries during the Second World War and, therefore, apology and reparation are not something which allow one to shun them under an agreement with someone, the commentary notes, and goes on:

It is a bounden state duty and moral duty for Japan to properly settle the issue of the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army.

The people of victimized nation do not want the settlement of the issue devoid of apology and guilty conscience. It is because a paltry amount of money can never alleviate the bitter grudge and pain of the victims of the sexual slavery.

Japan is obliged to kneel down and make apology and honest reparation to the victims and the people of the victimized countries.

Japan must not forget even a moment that the world is following how it redeems its past crimes and that its future lies in whether it makes a bold decision to redress its past from sincere attitude and stand.
