Wreaths Laid before Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong

Pyongyang, October 17 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid before the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong on Monday, the 90th anniversary of the formation of the Down-with-Imperialism Union. Seen at the wreath-laying stand was a wreath sent by Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army. Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Kim Yong Nam, Hwang Pyong So, Choe Ryong Hae and senior officials of the party, state and army, the chairperson of a friendly party, officials of the party, armed forces and power bodies, Cabinet, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, service personnel of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces and working people, youth and students in Pyongyang. The participants laid bouquets and flowers before the bust of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk and observed a moment's salience in memory of her. Placed at the wreath-laying stand was a wreath in the joint name of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the Cabinet of the DPRK. Also placed there were wreaths in the names of the armed forces organs, working people's organizations, ministries, national institutions, units of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, education, public health and media institutions and the party and power bodies, enterprises and farms in Pyongyang. The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of the revolutionary martyrs before going round the cemetery. |
