Joint Action against THAAD Deployment Held at S. Korean "National Assembly"
Pyongyang, October 17 (KCNA) -- South Korean No-THAAD organizations including the Songju Committee for Struggle against THAAD Deployment, the Kimchon Citizens Measure Committee against THAAD Deployment, the Songju Emergency Measure Committee for Defending Holy Land of Won Buddhism, the Taegu-North Kyongsang Provincial Measure Committee against THAAD Deployment and the Action for Checking THAAD Deployment consisting of at least 100 civic and public organizations held the first joint press conference at the "National Assembly" on Oct. 14, according to a report.

The Songju Committee for Struggle against THAAD Deployment said that inhabitants in Songju would not stop the action together with Kimchon citizens and Won Buddhists till the day when THAAD is returned to the U.S.

The Kimchon Citizens Measure Committee against THAAD Deployment noted that it would struggle in solidarity with all citizens as THAAD deployment is not only the issue related to the relevant region but also the issue related to the whole of the Korean peninsula.

The Songju Emergency Measure Committee for Defending Holy Land of Won Buddhism demanded the "government" withdraw the decision on THAAD deployment and work hard for the denuclearization and peace of the Korean peninsula. It added that Won Buddhists would check THAAD deployment with all efforts at the risk of their lives.

The Action for Checking THAAD Deployment called upon all the people desirous of peace to kindle torchlight across south Korea on Oct. 20 all at once.
