Medical Oxygen Factory in Pyongyang
Pyongyang, October 20 (KCNA) -- The Medical Oxygen Factory built in the outskirts of Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, has begun its operation some days ago.

The factory has a production capacity enough to supply oxygen to all hospitals in the city of Pyongyang.

The production and management of the factory are controlled on a central monitoring system and all its processes are computerized, ranging from air infusion to oxygen storage.

Medical oxygen produced at the factory has higher qualitative indexes than those defined by the World Health Organization as it is more than 99.8 percent in purity, less than 0.01 percent in carbon dioxide content, less than 0.001 percent in carbon monoxide content and 0.006 g/?in water content.

The factory provides each hospital with oxygen in cylinder bearing its name.

Its Manager Kim Jong Chol told KCNA that the birth of the factory was thanks to the Workers' Party of Korea's policy on public health, adding they would work hard to produce medical oxygen as much as possible for the improvement of citizens' health.

Supreme leader Kim Jong Un visited this factory in September, saying the factory reflects the WPK's outlook on the people and its spirit of devoted service to them.
