Necessary steps have been taken to protect rivers and streams from any possible typhoon.

The Sinuiju Amnokgang Construction Company in North Phyongan Province launched the embankment projects in Sin Islet and Hadan-ri.

Similar projects were pushed ahead in Anju City of South Phyongan Province and Paechon County of South Hwanghae Province, too.

Meanwhile, Hamhung City and Yonggwang County of South Hamgyong Province finished several embankment projects along the Songchon River in short span of time.
