Cement Production for Recovery Effort Increases in DPRK

Pyongyang, October 24 (KCNA) -- Cement producers in different parts of the DPRK have over-fulfilled their production plans for the recovery effort in the flood-hit northern part of the country.

In hearty response to the Workers' Party of Korea's call for all-out recovery efforts, the Sangwon Cement Complex turned out more than 160 000 tons of cement, surpassing the level of peak year in production.

The Sunchon Cement Complex carried out its daily quota at 130 percent and the Chonnaeri Cement Factory produced 10 000 tons of cement in a short period.

The Puraesan Cement Factory, too, over-fulfilled its production plan for the recovery efforts 2.3 times.
