Pyongyang, October 25 (KCNA) -- The Mangyang Ferry Revolutionary Site has been restored to its original state in Hoeryong City, one of the flood-hit areas in North Hamgyong Province of the DPRK. Soldiers of the Korean People's Army started the restoration work in mid-September. They had removed a large amount of mud and renewed embankment to ensure the stableness and security of the site and its vicinity. It is a historic site used by anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk to leave her birthplace with her family members aboard a small boat in the spring of Juche 11 (1922) when Korea was under the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule. |
