Girls Footballers Welcomed by Pyongyangites
Pyongyang, October 25 (KCNA) -- The girls footballers of the DPRK came back home Tuesday after winning the title of the 2016 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.

Pyongyang International Airport and the route leading to Ryonmot-dong, Ryonghung Crossroads, Kaesonmun Street, Changjon Crossroads were crowded with people from all walks of life and school youth and children with bouquets in their hands.

They were greeted at the airport by Kim Yong Chol, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Ri Ryong Nam, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Ri Jong Mu, minister of Physical Culture and Sports, and officials concerned.

Sportspersons and families of players put garlands around the necks of coaches and players and presented them with bouquets, congratulating them.

When a large float van carrying the players started at the entrance to Ryonmot-dong, seas of flowers presented on the route.

The players laid a floral basket and bouquets before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill and paid tribute to them.
