Institutional Measures to Terminate Maltreatment and Killing of Children Demanded by S. Korean Inhabitants

| Pyongyang, October 26 (KCNA) -- The committee for probing truth behind maltreatment and deaths of adopted children in Taegu and Phochon and improving the system of child adoption was formed in south Korea, according to the south Korean online paper Voice of Seoul. An inaugural press conference took place in Taegu on October 21. Speakers recalled that two little girls died due to maltreatment at the adopted families, proof that procedures for child adoption in south Korea is loose. They expressed the will to make efforts for thoroughly probing the truth behind the maltreatment and death of the girls and building a proper adoption system. |
