Present there were officials, teachers and researchers of Pyongyang Medical College of Kim Il Sung University, the Bioengineering Branch of the State Academy of Sciences, the Korean Koryo Medicine Technology Agency, the South Phyongan Provincial People's Hospital and the Pyongyang Electronic Medical Appliances Factory and in the fields of education, science and public health.

The presentation was divided into panels of pharmacy and medical appliances. Introduced there were at least 70 scientific and technological achievements made in the researches to put the production of medicines and medical appliances on a modern and scientific basis.

Drawing attention of the participants were papers dealing with the successes made in settling issues arising in studying and developing efficacious medicines, latest medical treatment equipment and medical appliances.
