DPRK's Holidays in October Marked in Indonesia, Myanmar

| Pyongyang, October 27 (KCNA) -- Papers and radio of Indonesia and Myanmar reported special write-ups between Oct. 8 and 11 on the 19th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's election as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), the 71st anniversary of the WPK and the 90th anniversary of the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU). The papers carried photos of Marshal Kim Jong Un. The Indonesian internet paper RMOL in an article said that the DIU is the historic roots of the WPK, saying that the WPK, the guiding force of Korea's society, would be unthinkable apart from the DIU formed by President Kim Il Sung on Oct. 17, 1926. The paper also carried an article titled "Ideology is the most powerful weapon of the DPRK". The Myanmar paper The New Age carried a special write-up under the headline "Highest tribute to HE Kim Jong Un, chairman of the WPK, on the 71st anniversary of the WPK, Oct. 10, 2016." The paper praised Kim Jong Un for his outstanding method of leadership with which he has bravely overcome all hardships and trials and led to victory the revolution and construction on the strength of ideology and unity. It noted that he has created a history of giving priority to the people and respecting and loving them with his noble outlook on them. It carried an article introducing the Nature Museum of the DPRK illustrated with a photo. Myanmar TV broadcasted Korean film "Sci-Tech Complex" at prime time. |
