On Oct. 21 the committee accused the Seoul District Police Agency of summoning and investigating Ri Chang Bok, chairman of permanent representatives of the organization on charges that he took part in a meeting of the chairmen of the south, north and overseas committees of All-Korean Committee for Implementation of June 15 Joint Declaration in May.

The recent repressive action was an unreasonable one to scuttle the efforts of people of all social standings for NGO exchanges and tide over political crisis caused by all kinds of power-backed scandals through suppression under the pretext of security.

The Media Headquarters said that police are suppressing south-north NGO exchange and promotion of cooperation on charges of violation of "Security Law", adding this is an anti-reunification action to block the nation's peace and reunification.

The suppression of the chairman of the permanent representatives is aimed to conceal the suspicion about the involvement of Chongwadae in scandals and evade the responsibility for increasing the danger of a war.
