At least 80 civic and public organizations including the Society of April Revolution and the Solidarity for Progress held a press conference at the Kwanghwamun plaza in Seoul on Oct. 26 to force Park to step down.

At the press conference the organizations said that evidence that Choe Sun Sil known as a person with actual influence played the "role" of the de facto "president" was disclosed through media, adding that unprecedented was that an individual, not a public official, monopolized the administration.

They insisted that the way of settling the case is for Park Geun Hye to step down as "president".

Over 50 civic and public organizations in Pusan area held a press conference at the plaza of Pusan Railway Station on the same day to demand Park step down.

At the press conference the chief of the Punsan Headquarters of the Confederation of Trade Unions said it is misfortune of all people that Park stays at the "presidential" seat even a day.

University students in Pusan City staged a surprise demonstration in the morning of Oct. 27 when Park appeared in the city.

On Oct. 25 the Citizens Solidarity for Democratic Society and the People's Action for Democracy separately held press conferences where they said that the administration system is collapsing, "president" and all those responsible for the case should bear legal responsibility and Park should step down

Professors at Songgyungwan University in a declaration on the situation on Oct. 27 said that the incumbent "president" should let all the Cabinet and secretaries of Chongwadae resign as soon as possible and entrust everything to a new Cabinet, adding this is the way of preventing social confusion.

Organizations for impeaching Park Geun Hye are intensifying actions across south Korea.

Meanwhile, voices rejecting the deceptive apology made by Park and demanding her resignation are continuing to grow louder at the "National Assembly".

The Operation Committee of the NA held a plenary meeting on Oct. 26 at which an agenda item calling for filing a suit with the prosecution against U Pyong U who denied the demand to appear as a witness of the inspection of administration was raised and it was voted for with unanimous approval.
