|
|
Pyongyang, October 28 (KCNA) -- People in the DPRK are directing sustained efforts to the forest restoration, true to the intention of the Workers' Party of Korea to turn the whole country into a thick woodland. Songgan County of Jagang Province has cultivated tens of thousands of healthy saplings of acacia, pine and other trees at nurseries built in its different parts. The inhabitants of Kaesong City built a new mother nursery in Pakyon area to cultivate on a large scale various species of saplings, including pine-nut tree and Larix lepolepis. Yodok County of South Hamgyong Province is vigorously conducting its planned forest restoration works such as collecting seeds and digging holes, with the autumn period of the general mobilization for land administration as an occasion. The Singye County Forestry Management Station in North Hwanghae Province laid a foundation for producing millions of saplings by ensuring their rooting rate at nearly 100 percent. |
