President Kim Il Sung founded the Central Bank of North Korea on October 29, Juche 35 (1946), established the advantageous financial and monetary management system of Korean style and led it to successfully fulfil its function and role.

Leader Kim Jong Il developed in depth the Juche-based idea and theory of the President on finance and money, providing the guidelines for improving the financial and monetary work.

He saw to it that all financial business was oriented to implementing the Party's policy of finance and money and showed deep loving care and trust for the financial workers.

Marshal Kim Jong Un led the Central Bank to further improve its function and role as required by the reality in which the building of a powerful socialist country is being conducted on a higher stage, and made sure that its building was built on the picturesque bank of the River Taedong.

Under the care of the peerlessly great men the Central Bank has developed into an effective state financial guidance institution guaranteeing socialist construction and the material and cultural life of the people with finance, having a big share in strengthening the country's financial and monetary foundation.

A meeting marking the anniversary took place on Friday.
