DPRK's Holidays in October Marked in Brazil

Pyongyang, October 29 (KCNA) -- There took place a meeting at the Party for Free Motherland of Brazil and a seminar at Pernambuco Federal National University from Sep. 28 to Oct. 21 on the 19th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's election as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), the 71st anniversary of the WPK and the 90th anniversary of Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU).

Rosanita Campos, vice-president of the Party for Free Motherland of Brazil, noted that the DIU formed by President Kim Il Sung is the historic roots of the WPK and under the guidance of Marshal Kim Jong Un the WPK and the Korean people are advancing triumphantly, foiling the moves of the U.S. imperialists and their vassal forces to strangle the DPRK.

Aleksandr Neves Rosendo da Silva, secretary general of the Brazilian Center for the Study of the Juche Idea, and other speakers praised Kim Il Sung's ideological and theoretical exploits and the feats he performed in building the party, country and army and Kim Jong Il's Songun revolutionary exploits.

They lauded Kim Jong Un for wisely leading the Korean people in their struggle for beefing up the defense capability and protecting socialism.
