According to the result of opinion poll on Oct. 26, it said that most of respondents urged Park Geun Hye to step down from office of her own accord and that the "National Assembly" should promote impeachment. Those who expressed disappointment and indignation at Park's "apology to the people" went beyond 80 percent, it said.

The apology is no more than a charade to deceive the people, it noted.
