Ri Su Yong Meets Foreign Party Leaders

Pyongyang, October 31 (KCNA) -- Ri Su Yong, member of the Political Bureau and vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), separately met and had talks with Nguyen Phu Trong, general secretary of the C.C., the Communist Party of Vietnam, Gyula Thurmer, chairman of the Hungarian Workers' Party, and Vojtech Filip, chairman of the C.C., the Communist Party of Czech and Moravia. Ri is heading a delegation of the WPK to the 18th international meeting of communist parties and workers' parties held in Vietnam. At the talks Ri Su Yong said the WPK and the Korean people under the leadership of supreme leader Kim Jong Un are making all efforts to carry out the decision of the Seventh Congress of the WPK, while smashing the hostile forces' moves for aggression, sanctions and schemes to stifle the DPRK. He expressed the will to boost the friendly relations with foreign parties which fully support the cause of the WPK. Nguyen Phu Trong said that the friendly relations between the parties, governments and peoples of the two countries forged by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kim Il Sung have steadily grown strong. He expressed the consistent stand of the Communist Party of Vietnam to support peace, security and reunification of the Korean peninsula and steadily boost the friendly relations between the two parties and two countries. Gyula Thurmer said the WPK is the powerful party which is defending and advancing socialism, stressing the will to extend full solidarity to the WPK in its struggle for building a powerful socialist country in the future, too. He hoped that the WPK and the Korean people would achieve big successes in the work for accomplishing the just cause by displaying the heroic spirit and will and under the outstanding and tested leadership of Kim Jong Un. Vojtech Filip said his party is learning a lot from the experience of the WPK which enjoys a high prestige in the international community, expressing the will to develop the friendly relations between the two parties in all fields. Meanwhile, Ri Su Yong separately met the chairman of the Committee for External Affairs of the C.C., the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the former prime minister of Nepal who is high leader of the Nepal Communist Party (United Marxist-Leninist) and member of its Presidium, the chairman of the C.C, the Communist Party of Sri Lanka, the general secretary of the People's Progressive Party of Guyana, the vice-chairman of the C.C., the Communist Party of the Russian Federation who is first vice-chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the State Duma, the general secretary of the C.C., the Workers’of Bangladesh, the general secretary of the Communist Party of Britain and the general secretary of the Palestinian Communist Party. |
