President Kim Il Sung made it sure that a school was set up to provide art performance of the Pyongyang Schoolchildren's Palace on Nov. 1, Juche 55 (1966) and named the school.

Leader Kim Jong Il energetically led the work of building Kumsong School and Kumsong Secondary School No. 1 into the reliable center of training artistic talents of the country and the center of training computer talents.

Kumsong School and Kumsong Secondary School No. 1 have grown stronger as the comprehensive center of training talents equipped with regular educational system and produced talented artistes and competent scientific and technical talents under the care of the great leaders and Marshal Kim Jong Un during the past five decades.

A meeting was held at the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace on Monday.

Present there were Jon Yong Nam, first secretary of the Central Committee of the youth league, officials in the field of extracurricular education for school youth and children, teachers and students of Kumsong School and Kumsong Secondary School No. 1, and teachers of the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace and the Pyongyang Schoolchildren's Palace.
