The national records were renewed in four events including weightlifting and shooting and Pyongyang City place first at total standings.

The April 25 Sports Team came first in the football (women), basketball (men) and volleyball (women) matches, the Kigwancha Sport Team in the football (men) match and the Sobaeksu Sports Team in the basketball (women) match.

In the amateur group the Pyongyang players placed first in the basketball (men and women) match and volleyball (men) match and those of North Phyongan Province in the football match and those of South Phyongan Province in the volleyball (women) match.

Present at the ceremony were members of the State Physical Culture and Sports Guidance Commission, officials concerned, those in the field of physical culture and sports, sportspersons and other working people.

At the closing ceremony, rotating silk banners were conferred upon the April 25 Sports Team and the Pyongyang City organization which came first in team standing and trophies and medals went to the organizations and players that proved successful in various events.
