S. Korean Puppet Forces to Stage Joint Landing Drill against DPRK

Pyongyang, November 1 (KCNA) -- The south Korean puppet army announced that it would stage a joint landing drill in the East Sea of Korea and the area of Phohang, North Kyongsang Province from October 31 to November 6. The joint rehearsal is aimed at bolstering up the capability of the puppet army for independently carrying out landing operations.

To be involved in the drill are more than 10 warships including Aegis destroyer, landing craft, mine clearing craft, war planes of the ground, naval and air forces and at least 30 armored cars, thousands troops of the marine corps and even civilian ships.

U.S. marines will reportedly join in the drill to get familiar with the procedures of joint landing operations with the puppet army.

Chungmu drill will reportedly kick off in Ulsan and South Kyongsang Province, timed to coincide with the joint landing drill.
