Rodong Sinmun Slams Japan's Sinister Intention to Update Military Hardware
Pyongyang, November 2 (KCNA) -- The Defense Ministry of Japan is mulling spending 300 billion yen to update interceptor missiles.

Japan is justifying the above-said action under the pretext of the "threat" from the DPRK.

Rodong Sinmun Wednesday in a commentary dismisses this as nonsensical and sheer sophism.

It goes on:

As for the DPRK's nukes and rockets which Japan cites as "threats," they are aimed to beat back the aggressors and provocateurs who dare do harm to the DPRK. Therefore, they are self-defensive deterrent from A to Z.

Whoever is friendly towards the DPRK may neither get nervous about them nor have any misgiving about them.

The ulterior aim sought by Japan in groundlessly trumpeting about "threat" from the DPRK is to realize its old dream of the "Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere," backed by the U.S.

No matter what far-fetched assertions Japan may make about the DPRK, it can never cover up its criminal intention to contain big powers in Asia backed by the U.S. and, furthermore, launch reinvasion of it.

If Japan persistently follows its policies, pursuant to the U.S. line, it will suffer great trouble after becoming the target of retaliatory attack by other countries.

If the Japanese ruling forces have an iota of reasonable thinking, they should stop their dangerous military gambling.

This is the only way for Japan to get out of the abyss of ruin.
