Ibrahim Mantu, member of the Credit Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Nigeria and chairman of the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to significantly hold political and cultural events praising the undying exploits of leader Kim Jong Il and introducing successes made by the Korean army and people in the drive for the final victory under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of demise of Kim Jong Il.
