Displayed there were more than 1 300 application programs for operating systems, which were developed by the economy, education, sports, public health and other sectors of the country.

They include 100-odd IT achievements and new technologies and products presented by the State Academy of Sciences and a tele-questioning and answering system on farming techniques and a scientific farming guidance system based on real-time meteorological information by the Ministry of Agriculture.

There are also scores of programs developed by Kim Il Sung University and Korea University of Physical Education to contribute to turning the country into a sports powerhouse.

What drew the attention of visitors at the exhibition were programs coded by teen-agers from Kumsong Secondary School No. 1 and other secondary schools.

The exhibition is of great help to developing the nation's information science and technology.
